A Year with Picasso: A reinterpritation of Major and Minor works by Rob Couteau

Local resident,Rob Couteau winner of the 1985 Fourth Annual North American Essay Award, a competition open to writers throughout North America and sponsored by the American Humanist Association has published poetry, fiction, essays, and reviews in such publications as The Alembic; Arete; Bloomsbury Review; Chrysalis; Croton Review; The European; The Hawaii Pacific Review; The Journal of Contemporary Psychotherapy; Raintaxi Review of Books; Spring: A Journal of Archetype and Culture; West Hills Review: A Walt Whtman Journal; White Pelican Review; and Z Miscellaneous.

Transcendence Gallery is lighting up early for the Winter Solstice on Saturday the 19th.

We are illuminating the pathway at Water Street with Luminaries and featuring "Local Luminaries" in the Gallery with a special Musical Event after the Art Loop.

Transcendence Gallery joins Water Street Market

Transcendence Gallery is re-launching at Water Street Market, Saturday Oct 17th. We are focusing on new work from the remote islands of the Mentawai. A beautiful paradise scattered along the edge of Sumatra- where man still lives in relative isolation. Chris Rainier travelled to Mentawai to document the tribes - completing his fifteen year photographic project documenting traditional tribal tattooing around the globe.
