The Unframed Gallery presents: Flower Power April 17th-June 13th 2010

"Find the force that through the green fusedrives the flower.”
A flower grew rooted in the opposition movement against the Vietnam War. It reached for the sunlight of Justice, it thirst for the rain of love, it was nourished by compassion for those we opposed. Consciousness, with some help of home grown plants, made a quantum leap into the lap of nonviolence, flowers were planted in the barrels of guns. We dressed ourselves in a way that reflected these green values, bell bottoms & flowers worn in our hair. Life became a medicinal art, each step a brush stroke, each action a formative part of the composition. The process portrayed put forth a holistic consciousness, we became one with all creation, a colorful vibrant splash of hope in this universe of ours.

We ask you all to bring these beliefs into a visual form sowing seeds that may grow into plants containing the medicine that will heal our world today….LOVE ENERGY
